This place is simply great. Friendly and fast service - kept those Margharita’s coming! El Paseo Inn was established in 1930 and has been designated a historical landmark. This is a little amazing for me as a European, but well. It has some quite nice murals painted by artist Rubén Lara Campos.Ambience is great - i had taken an outdoor table as the weather was great for February. The food came fast and was simply delicious. Will come again when in LA.

From the moment you arrive at the doors this place really takes you away to Mexico. It is such a beautiful location the scenery and the food is just so wonderful. The best chile rellenos I have ever had anywhere in Los Angeles. The trains were amazing also the people very friendly servers very friendly everything was perfect !

This place was absolutely brilliant. The burrito was probably the best burrito I've ever tried. The service was perfect refilling and solving questions. The local is peaceful and with a good atmosphere.Note: I'm not Mexican, I'm Spanish and all the Mexican food I've tried before this was in Europe.

I haven't laughed so much for ever....But seriously if you're looking for a cool man cave to get away from the sun I recommend it highly...I just got hier by mistake but in the heart of Mexico there is no better place to go..

The food is amazing. Love the ambiance! I wish it was warmer because the patio looked so inviting! The waiter was so nice, friendly and hilarious and helped my friend, who was in a minor car accident on the way to meet me here, feel so much better! Will come again and try other items on the menu! Everything we had was delicious. It's small, so wouldn't recommend for large groups unless you can get on the patio.

The food was tasty, the service was friendly and the vibe & location were fun!

This restaurant has been a fixture at Olvera Street for decades. Tonight four of us dined on the patio. Our server was friendly but not attentive. Once our food arrived he never returned until the bill came. All of the food was tasty and everyone was satisfied with their choices. Ceviche was enough for two ($15) and the Chile Verde was delicious. The abondigas soup is worth the try. However my tortillas never came in spite of two requests to the busboy. Eventually the manager came with an apology and a free dessert for the table. When the check came, my meal was removed. Well handled by the manager. We will be back.

mexican food, mmm, awesome. Normally I would have posted a pic but food looked so good I couldn't stop. The staff was very welcoming and observant. Prices are decent. I can see why they have so many great reviews.

Loved this place. Situated in historic Plaza Olvera. food was awesome. Had the carnitas and beef Sopes. Was there on Sunday so we got to enjoy Live Mariachi music. The service was a plus. Dont forget to try the fresh made at your table Guacamole. Great drink selection. Will definitely go back.

Very busy on the last day of dia de los muertos on Olvera street. Food was tasty and pretty good. I had the chile verde. The bathroom was dirty so that always scares me. If what I CAN see is dirty, what about what I cannot see? So i say 3.5 stars with benefit of the doubt.

The best giant margaritas! Had one and was good for the whole day! Do yourself a favor and get one.

This place was great for a filling lunch, there is a great happy hour special on the margaritas. The servers were very friendly and the service was very quick. The food was some of the best Mexican food I've ever had, the meat was very juicy.

Always a good choice on Olvera Street. Spacious, gives you a nice feel for Mexican culture. The service is so so but the food quality is why you are here. It gets packed. Be aware of long wait times. But compared to other places it is worth it but you are paying a premium to eat here vs anywhere else half the cost.

This is an authentic Mexican restaurant with delicious food amd excellent service. Waitstaff attire is traditional and if you use your imagination, you could be in a Mexican Cafe in Mexico! Very popular and for good reason. We ordered the 'Table Side Guacamole ' which is actually custom at your table. Thisbis also a great 0lace to people watch. Fun and Festive

Good place if you're chilling by union station or on Alameda. The margaritas were good! I Barely taste any alcohol, if you're into that.Service is fantastic, they are super nice and really fast.Food is pretty good too. A bit pricey for their nachos but they give enough for like 3-4 people and pass the cheesy test.Overall: 8.9/10Service:10/10Food: 8.8/10Will come again? Yes.

Food was really good. Our waitress was very nice and attentive.

Food was delicious, service needed more training. If the service is always quantity, Customers will never receive quality.

El Paseo Inn has the most tasty and freshly made Mexican food. Traditional dishes including enchiladas, burritos, asada plate and more authentic food. I recommend their wet burrito every bite is full of flavor, rich salsa and tender meat. Friendly customer service, festive ambience and prices are fair.

Joichi Mochizuki
One of the best Mexican restaurant in the area. The food was great and can't go wrong with their happy hour. The only downfall was the service was a little slow and inconsiderate. Overall it was a nice place for a gathering or a family dinner.

I have been to this place a couple of times and each time it doesn't disappoint. The last time I came here is during Day of the Dead and omg it was so busy. I went up and asked the hostess the wait time and she said for 2? It'll be less than 1/2 hour and she was right. The ambiance is really cool and 3 dining area plenty of space for large groups. The food and drinks can be a bit pricey but what the hell... It's a date night.

When eating at Olvera Street, you have many options. In fact, many are old historic restaurants! I took my chance with the El Paseo Inn and am SO glad I chose it! It is absolutely beautiful wherever you are! The outdoor seating is nice and relaxing, and the indoor seating is just beautiful! We were there for lunch, but I'd LOVE to see what this place looks like at night! I love places with amazing ambiance, and this has it in abundance! The food was really good too! The kids meals were a bit pricer than I would have liked, but overall the prices were fair. My waiter was very kind and overall the staff seemed happy like they were having a good time, which is important. When you're near Olvera Street and don't know where to eat... hit this place first!

Possibly the best Mexican food I have ever had. No joke. Strong drinks, fresh food, best tortillas. And you cannot beat the atmosphere.
Krystal Estrada
Really good food. Absolutely loved the chicken mole enchiladas and the Chile rellenos the best I've had hands down.
Jennifer Lee

After reading from my fellow Googlers that this location was really good place to stop by. I tried it and felt that it was not all that. Food was okay. Missing that kick that I look for. Not just spice but char, salt flavoring. Plus I was sat next to the restrooms and didn't notice till I got that restroom aroma. (gross). They did help me move tables. Thanks for that.. I felt that is was high in price also.

Excellent experience from beginning to end. We had a reservation and we're seated right away. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. We shared appetizers of pork belly, shrimp and tomato tostada. I had the short ribs which melted in my mouth. The others had the coffee rubbed filet, chicken and gnocchi. All were delicious. We are visiting from the Central Valley but will come again next time we're in town.
